Healthcare coordination

Future doctors in Spain pass a national exam to obtain a residency slot. Thousands of people compete each year for their preferred hospital and specialty, and every choice made before them changes their options.

  • Candidates could privately share preference data and estimate likely outcomes from everyone else’s choices.
  • The system launched three consecutive years with more than eighty-five percent participation among test takers.
  • The product turned an opaque and stressful selection period into a process candidates could understand together.
